We help train and educate the future optometrists and Lakeline Vision Source is a “coveted” site for the externs and always attracts the best students.

Katie Anh Nguyen is originally from Vietnam and moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana with her family in 2014. She went to Louisiana State University and graduated in 2021 with a Biological Science degree. In optometry, she has been interested in dry eye treatments and ocular disease. She is pursuing an optometry degree at UHCO and will graduate in 2025. Katie’s hobbies are cooking, playing tennis, and traveling.

Luis Ramirez is from Austin, TX, and graduated from Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX. He has a keen interest in specialty contact lenses and ocular diseases, and he is fluent in Spanish. Luis is currently pursuing his OD/MS degree at UHCO and is expecting to graduate in 2025.

Matthew Tran is from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in biology. He is currently a fourth-year student at the University of Houston College of Optometry and will graduate Spring 2025. He is interested in ocular disease. In his free time, he likes to hike and play tennis

Tiffany Tran was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She graduated with a degree in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin. She is currently a fourth-year student at the University of Houston College of Optometry and will graduate Spring 2025. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends, trying new restaurants, and playing video games.
All will graduate with their Doctor of Optometry degrees from the University of Houston, College of Optometry in the Spring of 2025.
